Funding Application

Thank you for your interest in taking part in the 2018 Dunedin Puaka Matariki Festival, and applying for our contestable funding.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

You must read the Registration and Funding Application Guide before you apply.

After you have completed your Event Registration, you may complete the Funding Application below.

Make sure that the Event Name, Primary Contact Name, and all contact details are the same as you completed in your Event Registration.

Applications for funding close at 5pm, Friday 27 April 2018. No late applications will be accepted.

Part 2: Funding Application

There are three funding areas you can apply to. Please tick the box next to the area which applies to your event:


List the costs for your event.

  • This could include: venue or equipment hire, performers fee, kai, poster printing, etc.
  • For example: Venue Hire – $150.
  • List each item of income on a separate line, and provide a TOTAL at the end.

List the income for your event, including the amount you are requesting from the Puaka Matariki Contestable Fund.

  • Other income could include grants or donations, estimated ticket sales or admission fees, koha etc.
  • For example: Income 2: Ticket Sales $300.
  • Please also remember to include in-kind contributions, such as volunteer time and donated goods and services. List each item of income on a separate line, and provide a TOTAL at the end.

Bank account details

This is the account we will pay your grant into, if your application is successful.

You must attach proof of these details from your bank. This could be a bank deposit slip, a screen shot of your bank account name and number, or a copy of a bank statement. Please attach these to this application in the place provided.

The contestable funding applicant’s name and the creditor’s name must match.

Supporting documents

If you apply for less than $2500, please provide a budget review of previous events or letters of support.

If you apply for $2500 or more, you must also send us a full budget and quotes for your costs along with reviews of previous events or letters of support.

All funding applications must be sent with your supporting documents e.g. budget and letters of support. Please include the name of your event on all documents.
